The JGQ was assembled approximately two years ago. The main purpose of the quintet is two fold. First, we wanted to reexamine that very meaty and warm sound the instrumentation of the Trumpet and Tenor saxophone bring. Second, we wanted to explore the exotic musical forms of some of the masters of Jazz composition (i.e. H. Silver, Clare Fisher, etc.).
The JGQ has performed locally throughout Southern California from Santa Monica to Redlands at your typical bar & grill to the very upscale Ritz Carlton® hotel. We also have performed at several private parties and wedding receptions, and look forward to booking your private party.
Please note the JGQ roster of band members is constantly changing due to availability. However, we can assure you the highest possible musicianship level due to our vast network of the finest Jazz musicians in Los Angeles and surrounding counties. Whatever the occasion, let the JGQ entertain you and add elegance and sophistication to your event.
